I don't know about you but scary movies, with intense creepy music, dark shadows with the eyes glowing in the dark, all that stress is just not enjoyable for me. My wife loves those type of movies. She is glued to the screen while I have my eyes covered peeking out of the cracks between my fingers waiting for the moment when the person is going to jump out or somebody is going to get hurt. I have to sit there and tell myself over and over again that it isn't real, that the people are just actors. That during the filming a director would yell cut and the actors, the good guy and the bad guy would drop out of character an enjoy a latte together over break. That is the only way I can get through a scary movie. Movies are fake, creepy zombies, blood sucking vampires, and flesh eating troll people are fake.
