Fresh off of some amazing victories over the Philistines, David, king of Israel quickly becomes the king that is feared throughout the nations. He is the MAN!!! In the midst of all this hoopla about him, David did something awesome. Instead of bragging on himself and lifting up his own name David lifted up God's name through writing a song about Him.
Read I Chronicles 16:7-36
Take some time and write your own song to God. It doesn't have to rhyme and you don't have to be able to sing it well. Just take some time writing a song of gratefulness to God. See how it turns out. Bring them with you to small group. It can be a rap, a ballad, a country song, or even hard core. Whatever your style write it out and bring it.
