Full Message (Acts 5:19-20)

After Peter and the apostles were released from jail by an angel (yeah, you read that right) he commands them to, "Go, stand in the temple courts and tell the people the full message of this new life." He commanded them to finish the job they had begun. The people had already seen the miraculous. Many of them were healed from sicknesses and pain. Many were also delivered from the demons that possessed them. They had been set free and healed, but the work of the apostle's in their lives was not complete. The freedom through Christ was more than a one time healing. There was truth to be proclaimed, disciplines to be learned and applied, a new life to begin living.

Many times the miraculous healing and salvation of Jesus Christ is the only message people get. "Walk down a aisle" , "respond to a message" , "have an experience" and that is it.... There is so much more to eternal life than salvation and deliverance. There is a whole new life to live. There is a new relationship to develop, a new mission to dedicate your life to. As the angel spoke to the apostles, he speaks to us today. GO and tell the full message of this new life.

Lord , May I remember today that there is a whole new life to live as a disciple. That salvation and deliverance is only the beginning of the journey. May I spend my days...my life living and telling people the full message of this new life.

One thing that bothers me about altar calls nowadays is the "sinner's prayer." Sometimes they make it focus so much on the prayer rather than the person and work of Christ who alone is the cause of change in a person's heart. Good stuff bro. Also, while reading through Genesis, one thing I realized is God ALWAYS delivers. It could be 20 - 30 years later, but He always steps up to His promise. Amazing. I bet you are glad I am one of the only ones that read your blog daily now! ;)
