Selective Compassion (Rom. 9:15)

"For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I I have mercy , and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." Rom. 9:15 (NIV)

In the midst of our world today...natural disasters, wars, accidents, unlikely deaths, unlikely losses and terrible suffering it is hard for me to see you moving God. When I hear of nations perishing by storms and earthquakes, "innocent" people being washed away I wonder where you are? What you are up to... I am reminded in your word today that I am no one to question either victory or tragedy, but one only to be available to be what it is you have molded me to be. You have given me a soft heart and with it I pray you would use me to reach out to those who are hurting, who are on the short side of your mercy and compassion....not waste my time questioning your motives, your direction, your existence.
