What would you do if you saw a child wandering in a park. All alone, seemingly lost , separated from his parents and totally vulnerable. Would it matter if he looked like he was ok or if he looked terrified? Hopefully not? You and I both know that a child alone is never a good thing. Whether the child knows they are lost or in danger is irrelevant. What matters is that we see a child alone and we come to the rescue. Right?
Now let's think of this spiritually. Every person that is a believer is a child (John 1:12). No matter their age or amount of wisdom. No matter how calm and cool they look, if they are wandering they are in danger and it is our responsibility as a brother or sister to do something about it. To help draw them back to their loving Father. Approach them with the same heart you would a small child lost in a store.
If you are on the other side of this and you are the one wandering, know that there is a loving Father who is waiting for you to come back....You don't have to figure out where He is, He hasn't left the last place you were when you walked away from Him. Just come on back and He will see you from far off and come running!
