All you need is love (I Cor 13)

The true mark of a disciple of Christ is not found in their ability to accomplish tasks, be spiritual, be gifted, abstain from "bad" things, attend church, lead people, etc........ The true mark of a follower of Christ, the most necessary trait is a persons application of love in their life. You see it is when a person loves, when a person allows God to love people through them that a christian really learns how to serve, how to use their gifts, how to be obedient, how to lead. Everything a christian does must come from an agape (God sized) love for people. Within that love their is no selfishness, no giving up, no evil, no jealousy, no pride, no anger, no memory of past wrongs....It is only in and through that Love that you and I can live the life Christ has called us to live...

The foundation of the Christian life is not knowledge, it's not a deep Bible study, it's not being involved in an active youth group, it's not being part of an awesome church, it's not making your life look different than everybody else, it's not in burning all your hip hop CD's or fasting from MTV....All these things are good (matters how good the CD's were) but they are not the basis of your life. If you are looking where to start, or are tired of living a unfullfilling Christian life, look no further than I Cor. 13. Within the defining of love the obedient, fruit filled, victorious Christian life is found.
