Rare Words (Mark 6:5)

When we look in the Gospels they are filled with the acts, miracles and touches of Jesus. In chapter 5 and 6 alone we see Jesus cast out demons, raise a dead girl to life, walk on water, and feed 5000 people with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread. Enough to prove he was God in flesh, the savior of the world.... But instead of being intrigued by His miracles in this reading I am more drawn to a statement made in Mark 6:5

"He could not do any miracles there, except lay hands on a few sick people and heal them. "

I have always heard that God is pleased with our faith, and that our faith can move mountains but here in this text we actually see a lack of faith by people limit Jesus from His miraculous work. It isn't that He, the God of the universe is subject to our short-comings and rendered powerless by our doubts.....It is that He chooses to work through Faith and when their is none.... He doesn't...

God if this is happening in my life, please show me. If my pride or my drive to be in control is forcing me to live faithless in areas and deny your powerful and healing touch, then please help me see clearly so I can stop doubting and believe you for your promises.
