An awesome reminder this morning that no one can come to Jesus unless the Father allows that person's eyes to be opened, his heart to be softened, his ears to be cleared. Many nights I lay frustrated at how no one responds to a message that I thought was clear, persuasively constructed, theologically sound.... but those are just tools in the hands of a God who is truly in control and totally equipped of drawing people to Himself. Without His movement a person can lay out a perfectly polished presentation yet no one respond. God may I learn to spend twice as much time crying out to You as I do preparing for a message, because unless you draw them...I am reduced to a teacher of incomprehensible truths, a salesman of an eternal product that no one understands they need. Thank you for the reminder that it is You who work and will in the lives of your people!
Lord remind me to pray more often for your movement and leave the tugging of the hearts of men and women to you! You are way better at it!
