What an awesome weekend! Thanks to everybody who played a part.
-Some of our high school ministry served lunch at Gateway Rescue Mission in Downtown Jackson. They also brought home cooked goodies like cookies, cupcakes and chocolate covered pretzels which brought a smile to all the guys there. We served approx. 75 -100 people in two hours. On the coldest day of the year (it snowed!) our students brought a little something to be happy about.
-Some of our Middle School ministry served at We Will Go ministries in Downtown Jackson. The students and adults folded and sorted clothes for distribution to the homeless and needy in the downtown community. They also got to spend some time with the founders and operators of the ministry. As quoted by one of our adults, "It was a big time eye opener". One of our small group leaders commented that she watched the student's hearts "break for the helpless."
Thanks again to everybody who was a part of this awesome time. If you missed out we will be serving the second weekend in February so mark your calenders.

I am so glad you loved it. We are going to serve our communioyt again as a group in Feb. Lookin gforward to it!
