May I never again look at forgetting or failing to pray for someone as a slight oversight or a little oops....
Lord you have called me to lift up the people you have surrounded me with. May each day I be reminded by your sweet, saving and redeeming spirit to pray for the needs of others. May I be obedient to you in this. For my family, friends, church, neighbors, the redeemed and the lost alike. Make me better at this......or maybe make me weaker so that my first move is to pray and not try to fix or try to intervene, may my first step in serving people be to pray for them. Help me see ministering to people in your name to be as important and as impossible (in my own strength) as it is. Help me be reminded today and everyday that it is only your grace that makes me a valuable servant. It is only your grace that makes me useful in the lives of others. It is only your grace that allows me to breath, to have a heartbeat, to live...period. May my knees always be dirtier than my hands....May my first and most important act of service be to petition you and to call you to move in the name of Jesus Christ, and then if still applicable to serve with my hands, do so only with the strength, direction and efficiency of your Holy Spirit.
Turn my ceasing prayer life into a ministry of praying without ceasing... Only you can do it!
